In a regular series on our blog we’re going to introduce you to our staff. With second post, you’ll meet the owner’s oldest daughter: Traci.
How did you first get introduced into antiquing?
My dad. About twenty years ago I started setting up with him at the Springfield Flea Market. I had two kids on my own and needed the additional income.
What is your day-to-day role at the shop?
I manage the finances, pay the bills, cash people out, decorate the shop and make sure it’s clean.
What are your hobbies?
I spend my time with my granddaughter at the Ohio Performing Arts Institute (OPAI) dance studio, where I help out with the costuming for all of the shows, and at the shop.
If you weren’t at the shop on the weekend, where would you be?
At OPAI or relaxing at home.
What is your favorite item at the shop?
Right now? A new dress form we just got in. It’s old, stylish, and a blank canvas to dress it up anyway you want.
What one item would you like to see at the shop?
We have such a great mix already that you can find just about anything. I’d say a diamond in the rough. Something worth a lot!
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
Pay off my bills. Buy a house out in the country (that has city water!).
What’s your favorite TV show?
Survivor. You never know what’s going to happen next.
What is your fondest memory of Ron?
Spending the week in the farmers field in Kentucky at the 127 Garage Sale.
