We want to take a moment and say THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our first Community Yard Sale. We had a fantastic turnout and truly appreciate everyone who sold, bought or volunteered to help make the day such a success.
For those that didn’t make it out, we hope to see you at our next community event. And, here’s a little taste of what transpired throughout the day…
9:00 am: The shop all set up and ready to go the morning of the sale.
9:45 am: Hershey eagerly waits at the entrance to the shop to greet shoppers.
10:00 am: Let’s shop! Over 20 vendors set up in the acre behind the shop.
11:00 am: An array of vintage and upcycled artwork and jewelry is also on display at the yard sale.
12:00 pm: Who’s hungry? Good thing Spanky’s was on hand serving up hamburgers, hot dogs and snacks!
1:00 pm: Cast members from Ohio Performing Arts Institute‘s “How to Eat Like a Child” provided hours of entertainment. Their performances are October 3-5. For tickets, call 937.324.7444.
2:00 pm: We also had a free DIY station on hand to create your own upcycled artwork (inspiration from Pinterest).
Did you attend the sale? We want to hear how you liked it. Drop us a comment below and tell us what you bought, what we should consider for our next yard sale and anything else that comes to mind.
Keep an eye out for our next community event in December, when Vintage Depot celebrates its 1st birthday!
